Please join Green Plate Special, along with partners and friends, for their first fundraiser.  Come and learn more about Green Plate Special’s mission and plans for the property at the corner of MLK and Union street. See the kitchen and garden plans (Environmental Works has been developing the kitchen plans for Green Plate Special) and learn how to get involved with their free garden-to-table program for low-income middle school youth.

Roger Tucker and Rachel Minnery from Environmental Works will be speaking at the 2011 Seattle Green Festival on May 21st at 4:30 pm in the Green Building and Renewable Energy Pavilion (Qwest Field Event Center).  See below for information about the weekend long festival. 

On April 16th & 17th, Neighborhood House High Point Center was featured in the 2011 Green Home Tour presented by Northwest EcoBuilding Guild. The following video was posted online by the West Seattle Herald and showcases the Neighborhood House High Point Center project (it starts at 3:16 into the video). STRENGTH OF PLACE VILLAGE is a new affordable housing development located in the White Center neighborhood of Seattle.  Thirty dwelling units will provide homes for a diverse group of families.  The project is designed around a central courtyard that will provide a playground, garden space, bike parking and informal barbeque areas for the residents.
