Making a Place for Children
Environmental Works wrote, illustrated, and provided graphic design for a manual for architects, developers, and child care business owners on best practices for designing and building child care facilities in Washington State, responding to a great need for facility guidance.
The manual addresses pre-development activities, the development process, regulatory requirements, interior and exterior spaces, and special considerations, in addition to providing checklists, resources, and guidance on the formation of a vision for providing quality care for children from infancy through school-age.
