"The work we do is important because it ensures that people and organizations that might not have access to architectural services are provided with quality design and high-performing places to live, gather and work."
As Executive Director of Environmental Works, Roger leads a professional staff providing sustainable design and architectural services in the areas of affordable housing, community facilities, and special projects.
Roger came to Environmental Works as Director of Architecture in 1997 after a decade with Gleason and Associates (Seattle), where social work served as a guiding principle for the firm’s design philosophy. His start in humanitarian architecture came early on with a VISTA assignment, then as part of a design and development team working on the first affordable home-ownership program in Coney Island, NY.
At Environmental Works Roger’s project accomplishments are many, including:
Senior City Affordable Senior Housing (Federal Way)
The Jefferson Workforce Housing (Seattle)
