Finance, Human resources Manager
Melissa has spent most of her professional career in the nonprofit sector specializing in Finance/Human Resources and policy/procedure implementation. Her experience has spanned a breadth of nonprofit arenas including a large healthcare system with an employee base of over 10,000, a historical museum/antiquarian/membership library with an employee base of 50, and, most recently, a startup spinoff foundation with an employee base of 6 whose sole beneficiary was the only public high school for the arts in Boston specializing in assisting low-income students of color in obtaining a college preparatory arts education.
As a new transplant to Seattle, Melissa joined Environmental Works because she believes in its mission and its ability to create beautiful spaces for our most vulnerable populations, allowing them a foundation to get a footing within society and gain upward mobility.
Melissa holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Northeastern University and is working towards her MBA with a concentration in Human Resources.
