The City of Everett and Catholic Housing Services of Western Washington are working together to build a permanent supportive apartment facility with on-site services and case management for 65 chronically homeless individuals, many of whom are experiencing severe mental illness and addiction issues along with trauma from long-term homelessness.
This modern apartment complex will include a common outdoor space and parking for staff, guests and residents. On-site case managers and resident support staff from Catholic Community Services will offer treatment for mental illness and addiction recovery services, as well as help with job searches and other training. This project was awarded Washington Housing Trust Fund support to be net-zero: the building will produce as much renewable energy as it consumes through solar panels and other advanced energy efficiency features. Construction will be completed in 2019.
